Boomi alternatives: which fit if cost or complexity is why you are leaving

The Boomi alternatives teams most often compare are MuleSoft, Celigo, Workato, Informatica IDMC and Jitterbit. If connector and environment charges are driving you out, look first at platforms that price differently, such as Celigo, which prices on endpoints and flows (Celigo pricing page, checked on 2026-10-03); if you have outgrown low-code, look at platforms built for developer-heavy API work, such as MuleSoft (MuleSoft enterprise integration page, checked on 2026-10-03).

Five Boomi alternatives at a glance

AlternativeWhat the vendor says it isOften a fit when
MuleSoft AnypointBlends "powerful developer tooling with easy low-code and no-code options" (MuleSoft enterprise integration page, checked on 2026-10-03)You need API management and developer control at large scale.
CeligoPrices by "endpoints and flows—not complex units like tasks, data volume, or vCores" (Celigo pricing page, checked on 2026-10-03)A mid-market estate centred on an ERP, with predictable growth.
Workato"Connects apps, data, workflows, and AI agents on one enterprise platform" (workato.com, checked on 2026-10-03)Many business-led automations under central governance.
Informatica IDMC"An enterprise-scale solution for next-gen data management" (Informatica IDMC platform page, checked on 2026-10-03)Data integration and data quality matter as much as app-to-app flows.
JitterbitiPaaS, workflow automation and low-code apps "all on one unified platform" (jitterbit.com, checked on 2026-10-03)You want integration plus low-code apps from one vendor.

If cost is the reason

Boomi publishes only its Pay-As-You-Go plan, at $99 a month plus $0.05 per message (Boomi Pay-As-You-Go page, checked on 2026-10-03); committed editions are quote-based (Boomi pricing page, checked on 2026-10-03). Reported spend has a median of $45,147 a year and a range up to $380,705 (Vendr: Boomi, checked on 2026-10-03). The most common complaint is connection-based licensing: each endpoint counts, and development, test and production each need allocation (Integrate.io: Boomi pricing, checked on 2026-10-03). checkthat.ai reports about $17,016 a year for an enterprise-class connection such as SAP, Oracle or Workday (checkthat.ai: Boomi pricing, checked on 2026-10-03).

Celigo's reported values sit lower (around $14,787 a year (Vendr: Celigo, checked on 2026-10-03)), but it targets smaller estates. MuleSoft's reported median is higher, at $68,695 (Vendr: MuleSoft, checked on 2026-10-03). The honest comparison is per integration, not per platform: divide each quote by the number of integrations you will actually run.

If complexity is the reason

Boomi is a low-code platform, and for many teams that is the point. Teams leave when they need more than drag-and-drop can express: heavy transformations, strict API governance, or deployment patterns the runtime does not suit. Before choosing a code-first platform, check whether the hard part is the tool or the undocumented processes inside it. Moving a poorly understood process to a more powerful platform tends to move the problem, not solve it.

What makes leaving Boomi hard

Decide in five steps

  1. Name the main reason for leaving: connector cost, environment cost, or capability limits.
  2. Inventory processes, connections and environments, and mark the critical ones.
  3. Price the next Boomi term with the uplift you were quoted (5 to 7% is reported (checkthat.ai: Boomi pricing, checked on 2026-10-03)).
  4. Price two alternatives on the same inventory, including the cost of moving.
  5. Run a proof on your most complex process before you commit.
