MuleSoft pricing in 2026: what you will actually pay
MuleSoft pricing starts at a published $2,000 per month, billed annually, for an entry package (MuleSoft pricing page, checked on 2026-10-03). Real contracts run much higher: buyers report a median of $68,695 a year, within a range of $7,977 to $281,462 (Vendr: MuleSoft, checked on 2026-10-03). Renewals default to a 7% uplift, and some accounts have seen 12% (Redress Compliance: Salesforce co-term calendar, checked on 2026-10-03). At 7% a year, a $68,695 contract costs $78,649 by year three and $220,848 over a three-year term.

How MuleSoft prices Anypoint today
The current MuleSoft pricing page leads with packages metered in Mule Credits, a shared unit of consumption across integration, API management, automation and agents (MuleSoft pricing page, checked on 2026-10-03). The packages are named Govern APIs and AI, Manage Agents, Connect Apps, Process Documents and Access Everything. Only the starting price is published; everything above it goes through sales.
Three buying models sit on top of the packages:
- Pre-Purchase: buy credits up front, with no minimum credit purchase.
- Pre-Commit: a $50K minimum annual commitment, billed monthly.
- Unlimited: a custom fixed price with uncapped credits.
MuleSoft's documentation still defines older usage-based packages, such as Anypoint Integration Advanced, by Mule flows, Mule messages and data throughput (MuleSoft docs: pricing metrics, checked on 2026-10-03). Many existing customers also remain on contracts sized in vCores. Before you compare quotes, find out which of these three models your current agreement actually uses, because the renewal conversation starts from it.

These are reported figures from buyers and advisers, not MuleSoft list prices. The two sources describe different populations: Vendr's median covers every deal it saw, including small ones, while unmule.com describes full platform tiers. Use the row that looks most like your estate.
What drives a MuleSoft bill up
- Runtime capacity. On vCore contracts, capacity is sized from transaction volume; one PeerSpot reviewer describes sizing for 50,000, 500,000 or 1 million transactions (PeerSpot: Anypoint pricing reviews, checked on 2026-10-03). Reported vCore costs disagree widely: unmule.com puts them at $50,000 to $70,000 per vCore per year (unmule.com: MuleSoft pricing 2026, checked on 2026-10-03), while Redress Compliance reports about $8,000 a year for a production vCore at Platinum (Redress Compliance: MuleSoft pricing buyer guide, checked on 2026-10-03). Treat both as anchors to test, not facts about your contract.
- Over-commitment. Redress Compliance reports that organisations typically commit 40 to 70% more capacity than peak production uses, and unused capacity is billed at the full rate (Redress Compliance: MuleSoft pricing buyer guide, checked on 2026-10-03).
- Premium connectors. Reported at 15 to 40% on top of the platform tier and licensed per environment (Redress Compliance: MuleSoft pricing buyer guide, checked on 2026-10-03), or $10,000 to $15,000 per connector per year (unmule.com: MuleSoft pricing 2026, checked on 2026-10-03).
- Services. Vendr reports that professional services typically make up 20 to 40% of first-year expenses (Vendr: MuleSoft, checked on 2026-10-03).
A reviewer on PeerSpot sums up the buyer experience: "It is complex to figure out the average price of the product." (PeerSpot: Anypoint pricing reviews, checked on 2026-10-03)
Renewal uplifts and escalators
Two separate mechanisms raise the price over time. The first is the renewal uplift applied when a term ends: Redress Compliance reports a 7% default with some accounts at 12% after a price-list refresh (Redress Compliance: Salesforce co-term calendar, checked on 2026-10-03), and 7 to 12% a year "if you do not push back with usage data and a benchmark" (Redress Compliance: MuleSoft pricing buyer guide, checked on 2026-10-03). The second is the escalation clause inside a multi-year contract, which unmule.com reports at 5 to 8% a year, and advises capping at 3% (unmule.com: MuleSoft pricing 2026, checked on 2026-10-03).
| Year | Cost at 7% a year |
|---|---|
| Year 1 | $68,695 |
| Year 2 | $73,504 |
| Year 3 | $78,649 |
| 3-year total | $220,848 |
The table applies the reported 7% default to the Vendr median. Swap in your own numbers in the simulator; a 12% uplift on the same base adds $10,957 over three years.
Before your MuleSoft renewal
- Pull twelve months of actual usage (credits, flows and messages, or vCore utilisation) and compare it with what you committed.
- List every premium connector and the environments it is licensed in; remove any no longer in use.
- Ask for the uplift and the escalator in writing, and ask for a cap.
- Price at least one alternative so the renewal has a benchmark.
- Check runtime support dates: apps on unsupported Mule 3 runtimes are a migration cost in their own right.
