iPaaS renewal cost simulator

Your inputs stay in this browser.

This pricing simulator estimates what renewing your integration platform will cost year by year and over the term, how long a migration might take, and the year in which moving would break even. Start from your own contract; where you have no number, the defaults below come from sourced, dated reports. All results are estimates, not quotes.

Last updated . Figures are re-checked quarterly.

Your current platform
Migration pace (months per integration)

No published benchmark for migrating off MuleSoft; enter your own estimate.

Moving between platforms usually means rebuilding mappings and flows, so effort depends on how complex each integration is, not just how many you have.

If you moved (optional, for break-even)

Your estimate

Enter target cost and team cost to see break-even.

Results appear here as you type. If nothing appears, JavaScript is off; the method and the assumptions below let you calculate the same figures by hand.

How the simulator calculates

  1. Renewal cost by year. Year 1 is your current annual contract value. Each later year multiplies the previous year by (1 + uplift). For example, $68,695 at 7% gives $68,695, $73,504 and $78,649.
  2. Term total. The sum of the yearly costs across your term.
  3. Migration effort. Number of integrations × months per integration, at a low, typical and high pace, with a one-month minimum. For an SAP PI/PO source, the pace defaults to SAP's published indicative durations for mostly lift-and-shift moves to Integration Suite. For every other platform there is no published benchmark, so you enter the pace; the effort range and break-even stay hidden until you do. Moving between platforms usually means rebuilding mappings and flows, so effort depends on how complex each integration is, not just how many you have.
  4. Break-even year. Moving costs the typical migration effort × your team's monthly cost once, plus the target platform's annual cost every year. Staying costs your renewing contract. The break-even year is the first year in which cumulative moving cost is no higher than cumulative staying cost, checked up to ten years.
  5. Cost per unit. If you enter licensed vCores, connections, connectors or endpoints, the simulator divides your annual cost by them, and by environments, so you can compare with reported per-unit prices.

Reading the result

A break-even year inside your term means moving pays for itself before the next renewal decision; a break-even beyond the term means the case rests on other reasons, such as a support deadline or a capability gap. If the migration range is wide, the next step is a readiness check, which narrows it by looking at how complex your integrations really are.
